“He heals the brokenhearted And binds up their wounds.”

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭147‬:‭3‬ ‭

Her Plantae Rhythm

Gardens are crafted from the elements that we pour in.

The more we give –

We are nothing.

Nothing, but –

Dirt,

And skin, and,

Air and blood.

Vines are our veins –

Petals are our manes.

We gain peace in the absence of pain,

But the presence of pain proves us weak.

There is beauty in growth.

In growth there is PAIN.

There is a power in ALL pain.

And power brews perseverance.

I. The Blooming Woman

17.25 X 20

Oil on Canvas

This piece is part one of my Growing Pains series and is meant to reflect my coming into life. She is blooming into life. She is innocent, delicate, and vulnerable. Her skin is flush pink and her petal hair is bright yellow. She is unaware.

II. The Dancing Woman

18 X 24

Oil on Canvas

She is in love with life. She is happy and in love with living things. She is happy to be alive. She does not know worry or hurt or trauma or anguish or pain - all she knows is love.

2024.

III. The Curious Woman

18 X 24

Oil on Canvas

She has a curiosity about her. Amid her love for life, she is ignorant to experience. She's no longer satisfied with simply living. She yearns for knowledge but is unaware of its consequences.

IV. The Tormented Woman

18 X 20

Oil on Canvas

She doesn't know how to handle pain. For the first time she doesn't feel happy. She shivers in pain and ignorance to what she's facing.

V. The Wounded Woman

18 X 20

Oil on Canvas

She's suffered her worst and is ready to reclaim her peace. She now is beginning to understand her pain and accepts the bruised parts of herself.

VII. The Healing Woman

Oil on Canvas

The final stage in the healing cycle - letting go. Once we heal we reset, waiting for the next set of hurt to sink in.
